07.06.2024 Ocean energy is on the list of key net-zero technologies for EU’s energy transition

Ocean Energy Europe has been engaging with the European Commission since early 2023 to include ocean energy on the list of strategic technologies for Europe prior to the publication of the Net-Zero Industry Act. During the negotiations, OEE met with members of the European Parliament to ensure that ocean energy remains on the strategic list and to secure favourable measures for deploying innovative technologies
