Laminaria is currently seeking  for enthusiastic professionals to join their team in Orkney.

Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will be in charge of planning and organizing, facilitation, permitting, consenting and reporting for the Laminaria project.  You will report directly to the CEO and work together with the external partners to meet the deliverables from the company.  You are also responsible to provide on time follow up reports to the grant funding agencies and provide input to the grant funding manager, so they can create the documents needed to apply for new calls.  

Mechanical Design Engineer/Data analyst

Are you ready to make the difference in the blue sector? Are you a raving fan of wave energy? Laminaria is looking for an experienced technical design engineer. As an engineer, you are the right hand of our CEO. You will be involved in the construction, monitoring, data analysis and follow-up of the entire project and will contribute to the success of the Laminaria Project.

Location

  • The position will be based in Orkney (Scotland) for the next 1,5 years.

Since its foundation, the company employed a combination of activities that prioritized experimental proof of concept, focusing its research and development efforts in rapid prototyping, wave tank testing and real in-sea validation of the predicted performance.  Currently Laminaria is undertaking a project to test and demonstrate a commercial scale device at the challenging EMEC test site on Orkney.
