Scaling up to Multi Device – What does it take?

Ocean energy has reached a critical stage in its development, several full scale prototypes have proved their metal in real sea conditions and developers are steeling themselves for the next step: scaling up to multi device farms. This is the main challenge facing the industry today, and Ocean DEMO’s purpose is to address it and support collaboration within the sector.

In this session, you’ll hear about the experience gained from testing in real sea conditions and challenges of scaling up, as well as what support is still needed from the points of view of both technology developers and test centres. We’ll also present some of our ideas for strengthening cooperation within the sector and how we can work together to boost the ocean energy industry towards commercialisation.
